Paul is virtual design and construction manager with Ehvert, bringing unique experience and expertise in the digital tools revolutionizing engineering and construction. In his time with the firm he has achieved project success by supporting multi-discipline teams in the implementation of BIM models for large-scale construction projects.
Paul also has experience effectively implementing BIM technologies before, during and after construction. Over the course of these projects he has been exposed to wide range of software packages and has the knowledge to select and implement the best-suited program to align with the project needs. This includes working with Revit’s API to develop custom solutions to improve modelling efficiency and accuracy.
Paul has and continues to perform 3D scanning on projects to verify as-built conditions and track progress. In addition to having experience with 3D scanning Paul has used total stations to assist trades with layout work.
How the legalization of Cannabis is driving innovation in engineering, construction and facility automation in Canada. The demand for high quality cannabis is pushing the cannabis industry to require much more from their facilities. Owners need facilities to be developed in a fraction of the time and with lower cost neither of which can be achieved with traditional construction methods. This is driving innovation like automated construction, virtual and augmented reality and building automation that traditional constructors were not open to. This session discusses the technologies that are being advanced, the processes that those are driving and how this could position Canada well ahead of the US Construction industry.
