TOPIC:
"Cultivation and Quality, a Regulatory Approach".
Health Canada is responsible for controlling cannabis quality in Canada and they have a number of methods that they use in order to mandate that control including regulations, licence conditions and inspections. A company that holds a Cultivation Licence and does not have a Processing Licence does not require a Quality Assurance Person, therefore identifying who can identify and implement requirements is challenging. The first place to start is identifying what the quality requirements are and how they are enforced. From records, to testing, batch control, etc. these are all things that should be understood in order to operate within the quality definition mandated by Health Canada.
Gina comes to CCI having worked as a QA Manager and QA consultant in the cannabis industry.
